We offer real-world career training in the field of allied health including Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Massage Therapy and Medical Insurance Coding & Billing diploma programs. We also offer a Bachelor of Science in Medical Management (BSMM) degree program, offered by Aspen University.

Bachelor of Science in Medical Management (BSMM) Degree Program:
Aspen University’s Bachelor of Science in Medical Management degree program is a program that includes hands-on learning and experience provided by Glen Oaks College. The hands-on clinical and internship components consist of on-ground training at Glen Oaks College that fulfills the specialization in Medical Assisting component of the degree program.
The bachelor’s program is designed to prepare leaders who understand the many facets of the healthcare industry. These individuals must be able to handle managerial tasks as well as economic, legal, regulatory, political, historical, and social demands that impinge on their decision making. This program provides a sound foundation in healthcare management. Thanks to the option of the hybrid on-campus and online delivery of the courses, students can experience hands-on training in their elected specialization as well as enjoy the flexibility of the online format as they pursue the degree.
Medical Assistant Diploma Program (8 months):
The objective of the Medical Assistant diploma program is to learn a wide variety of medical office skills, both administrative and clinical. Graduates of the program may have the skills and knowledge to pursue entry-level positions in physician offices, HMO facilities, clinics, urgent care, rehabilitation centers, and other allied healthcare facilities.
The Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep health care settings running efficiently. Duties may include updating patient files, charting histories, arranging lab services, taking vital signs, administering injections, sterilizing medical instruments, and assisting physicians during examinations. Graduates from the eight-month program will generally perform their duties under the supervision of a physician in a medical office, HMO practice, clinics, or other medical facilities.
The Medical Assistant program provides hands-on training from professional instructors in a student-friendly environment. Through group discussions, lectures, and hands-on laboratory experience, our Medical Assistant program is designed to help you develop skills that will get you started in the job market and the industry.
Pharmacy Tech Diploma Program (8 months):
The objective of the Pharmacy Technician program is to involve the students in the technical knowledge and practical skills required for entry-level positions in retail pharmacies, hospital or HMO pharmacies, health-care providers, and pharmaceutical companies as a registered Pharmacy Technician.
The eight-month Pharmacy Technician program prepares you for positions in retail, hospital, and outpatient pharmacies, as well as pharmaceutical wholesalers and Internet pharmacies
The professional duties of a Pharmacy Technician graduate may include: collecting, organizing, and evaluating information for direct patient care; receiving and screening prescription/medication orders for completeness and authenticity; preparing medications for dispensing; verifying the measurements, preparation, or packaging of medication produced by other technicians; dispensing medications; assisting the pharmacist in monitoring medication therapy; and maintaining confidentiality of patient and proprietary business information.
Massage Therapy Diploma Program (8 months):
Through our Massage Therapy diploma program, you could acquire the skills needed to help treat people through natural forms of stress reduction, preventive health care, and relaxation techniques. The objective of the Massage Therapy program is to provide you with a varied foundation of knowledge and skills through the study of anatomy, pathology, physiology, and massage and body therapies that will enable you to pursue entry-level positions in an exciting industry.
The eight-month program presents through lecture / discussion and lab experiences, the myriad of opportunities in the Massage Therapy industry. Massage therapists can specialize in over 80 types of massage modalities. Included in the various modalities and employment opportunities are physical therapy clinics, massage therapy clinics, chiropractor offices, physician offices, fitness centers, spas, athletic facilities and teams, and self-employed practitioners.
Physical Therapy Aide Diploma Program (5 months):
The objective of the five-month Physical Therapy Aide diploma program is to assist in meeting the healthcare needs of the community by preparing competent, knowledgeable and caring individuals as entry-level physical therapy aides who administer physical therapy interventions in rehabilitation centers, hospitals, nursing facilities, clinics, home care, and athletic organizations. The Physical Therapy Aide program prepares you for positions that entail assisting in rehabilitation centers, hospitals, sports therapy clinics and nursing facilities.
Students will learn basic medical terminology as well as anatomy and physiology outlined in this course. Students will have the ability to work with the Physical Therapist in a medical facility assisting with the patient recovery.
Medical Insurance Coding & Billing Diploma Program (8 months):
The objective of the Medical Insurance Billing and Coding program is to provide an opportunity for students to explore and learn medical office skills, medical coding, and medical insurance billing. Graduates from the program may qualify for entry-level positions in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and medical insurance companies. In the eight-month program in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding you will analyze medical records and assign codes that classify diagnoses and procedures to support the reimbursement system. You will be working with computer software and other data that supports the operation of the medical field.
Students will become proficient in completing and processing a variety of health claim forms using correct coding information. Students will also become familiar with industry-based reference materials such as the Physicians’ Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Health Care Common Procedure Coding Systems (HCPCS), and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD.9.CM).
The program involves the use of computer software that is associated with the coding and billing industry. Students will process insurance claim forms as well as use case studies to determine if and how a claim would be accepted and coded.
