Culinary Arts School in Bulgaria

HRC Culinary Academy:
The HRC Academy is a culinary arts school which features 2 locations in Bulgaria. The first semester, students train at our facilities in Dobrich. The third semester students train at our facilities in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia.

Bulgaria is located in Southeastern Europe, and borders the Black Sea to the east, Greece and Turkey to the south, Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia to the west, and Romania to the north.

Bulgaria is an active member of NATO and joined the European Union on January 1, 2007. Bulgaria has become an attractive destination because of the quality of service and the affordable prices of accommodations that the country offers.

Bulgaria has enjoyed substantial growth in income from international tourism over the past decade. During the winter months, Borovetz, Bansko and Pamporovo are popular ski resorts.

Location and Facilities:

Sofia (Bulgarian: София) is Bulgaria’s capital and by far the largest city in the country with a population of around 2 million people. It is located in western Bulgaria, at the foot of Mount Vitosha and approximately at the centre of the Balkan Peninsula.

Many of the major universities, cultural institutions, and businesses of Bulgaria are concentrated in Sofia. Up until 2007 Sofia experienced rapid economic growth.

Sofia is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Bulgaria alongside coastal and mountain resorts. Among its highlights is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the symbols of Bulgaria, constructed in the late 19th century. It occupies an area of 3,170 square meters and can hold 10,000 people.

The city is also known for the Boyana Church, a UNESCO world heritage site. Sofia also holds Bulgaria's largest museum collections, which attract both tourists and students for practical studies
