Swedish Institute:
Swedish Institute is conveniently located in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, one of the most exciting cities in the world. The stimulating and vibrant environment of New York City makes attending college more than just a classroom experience. Swedish Institute’s campus is located on West 26th Street in Manhattan, between 6th and 8th Avenues. Classrooms and administrative offices are located in office buildings located at both 151 W. 26th Street and 226 W. 26th Street.
Admissions and Financial Aid Offices are located at 151 West 26th Street, on the first floor, together with the college’s new Functional Training Facility. A nursing skills lab, simulated operating room, bioscience lab, computer laboratory, and library are also located at 151 West 26th Street, together with offices for program Deans and faculty. Central administration, including the President’s Office, bursar/finance office, Registrar, student and career services are located at 226 West 26th Street, together with the Lillian F. Phillips library, bookstore, and massage therapy clinics.
When visiting our campus, Reception Offices are conveniently available at both locations: at 151 W. 26th Street it is located on the first floor and at 226 W. 26th Street on the fifth floor. All are asked to check in with the Reception Office upon arrival.
Subway
The closest subways are:
Eighth Avenue subway: Local C and E trains stop at 23rd Street.
Seventh Avenue subway: Local 1 train stops at 23rd and 28th Streets.
Sixth Avenue subway: Local V and F trains stop at 23rd Street.
Broadway subway: Local W and R trains stop at 28th Street.
Bus
The M20 bus goes downtown on Seventh Avenue to 26th Street and travels uptown on Eighth Avenue to 26th Street.
Out-Of-Town Connections
From Grand Central Station (42nd Street on the East Side): Take the Shuttle train to Times Square, then take the 1 train to 28th Street and Seventh Avenue.
From Port Authority Bus Terminal (42nd Street on the West Side): Take the C or E trains to 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue.
From Penn Station (32nd Street on the West Side): Take the C or E subway to 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue, or walk downtown on Seventh Avenue to 26th Street.
Path Station (23rd Street and Sixth Avenue): Walk north on Sixth Avenue to 26th Street then turn left (west) onto 26th Street.
Parking
Some street parking and meter parking is available in our neighborhood. There are a number of garages and outdoor lots conveniently located near the school.
