The Medical Assistant program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants' Endowment (AAMAE). Upon completion of the Evening Medical Billing & Coding Specialist program, the student will qualify to be employed in a facility that handles billing for medical services. A strong knowledge of medical codes and insurance is necessary to be proficient as a specialist.
