Founded in 1920 by the Sisters of Charity as Southwestern Ohio's first Catholic college for women, today the Mount is a coeducational institution nationally recognized for quality and value and for serving the needs of all its students including adult and graduate students.

College of Mount St. Joseph offers associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in a variety of academic and professional fields. Its fastest growing fields are nursing, athletic training, and marketing, as well as criminology.
