The Papantoniou Institute has many years of competence in teaching Greek to non-nationals. It is based in Nicosia and all over the island. At the moment, there are two branches operating in Aglandjia Nicosia, namely the University Entrance Department and the Foreign Language Department. And a Foreign Language Department and Teacher Training Dept. which covers the whole island.

Why come to us:
We have courses starting throughout the year, at very competitive prices. The first type of course starts in September and ends at the end of May. This group only meets once a week for one and a half hours. The second type of course is more intensive, but also shorter. Groups meet twice a week for one and a half hours. Courses last from September to December and from February to May. These courses are for those of you who would like to learn Greek more quickly.
There are people of various nationalities currently studying at the Institute. Apart from Cyprus, we also have students from Greece, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Holland, South Africa, Mexico, Bulgaria, Moldova, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Romania, Morocco, and the Philippines.

Lord Byron Schools of Languages provides year-round modern Greek language courses in our city centre school in Thessaloniki in Central Macedonia in Northern Greece, approximately 515 km (320 miles) north of Athens. We offer special tailor-made courses in Greek for specific purposes, activities and entertainment during the week, excursions and visits on a weekly basis and much more. We also have an international summer school in Gerakini and Ouranoupoli, Chalkidiki in West Macedonia in Northern Greece. From Thessaloniki, Gerakini is 80 km (50 miles) and Ouranoupoli is 140 km (87 miles). Our summer school runs during the holidays with 4 or 5 hours Greek language tuition per day. The Papantoniou Institute

The Papantoniou Institute in Nicosia, Larnaca & Limassol has been successfully preparing final year students to pass entrance exams for the University of Cyprus, as well as the Universities in Greece and the UK for many years. We offer English lessons for people of all ages, children and adults. Children can start learning English at the Institute at around the age of 8 years, when they are at the third grade of Primary School. Lessons start on the 1st of September. They, then go through eight levels, starting from Junior A, and finish their studies with the GCE O'level exam, at around the age of 16. Business English courses are designed for people with any type of job, eg business people, solicitors, secretaries, people who work in the government, or generally people who have to deal with non Greek speakers as part of their job, eg shop owners, people in commerce etc. This course includes interesting things such as letter, email and fax writing, speaking, telephone English, differences between people of different cultures...
