Anixi Learn Greek, Athens:
Our language school located in the heart of Athens, Greece, on the famous shopping street Ermou - 5 minutes walk from both Monastiraki and Syntagma metro stations. We offer Modern Greek courses of high standard and affordable prices to students of all levels. Our courses range in length from a one week intensive course to courses that stretch throughout the whole year. Our primary goal is to accommodate each student’s needs and we can provide flexible hours and customised courses.

Modern Greek Courses:

Our partner school offers classes at all levels, from total beginner to advanced and proficiency. Our primary goal is to accommodate each student’s needs. We offer everything from a one week intensive course to courses that stretch throughout the whole year.

From the very first level, immersion in daily Greek life, communication with Athenians, and contact with cultural life, all play an important role. We can also provide flexible hours and customised courses.

For Swedish citizens: Our courses are recognized by CSN and you are therefore able to apply for financial student aid.

General Information about our Greek language courses:
- Size of groups: max. 8-12 participants.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- New students are given a placement test in order to find their appropriate level.
- At the end of each course participants receive a certificate of attendance.
- Fifty minute session per teaching hour.

You can choose between five different courses. All the courses add up to 60 hours and therefore they have the same price. If you wish to do a course that is less or more than 60 hours please contact us for price information.

1. Super Intensive 4 hours per day, five times a week (3 weeks = 60h)
2. Intensive 3 hours per day, five times a week (4 weeks = 60h)
3. Semi Intensive 2 hours per day, 3 times a week (10 weeks = 60h)
4. Standard 1 2 hours per day, twice a week (15 weeks = 60h)
5. Standard 2 3 hours per day, once a week (20 weeks = 60h)

Each class consists of a maximum of 12 participants for the teacher to be able to give attention to each student’s individual needs.

Oral skills are given priority; learning to listen and understand as well as to speak correctly with proper pronunciation. The ultimate goal is to lead participants to a level of efficient communication, which requires a solid base of language skills and a real understanding of the cultural context. Through communication activities, along with exercises in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and culture, each participant will learn to:

- Read, analysing authentic texts from Greek newspapers and magazines, business, literature, government documents, etc.

- Write, using various texts with precise communication goals and linguistic development. Grammar is approached through language games and exercises.

- Understand, using real audio and video taken from films, TV, radio, music.

- Speak, using role-plays, debates, social interaction, experiencing real life in Athens; theatre workshops including practical activities, with improvisation exercises to improve basic skills and to remove inhibition; and pronunciation, speaking flow and gesture.

The costs of school books are not included in the price of the course and are to be purchased by the student. Approximately cost 40 Euro/level.
