Located in Cuenca which lies in the south of Ecuador, The Amauta Foundation provides a variety of programs and packages ranging from schools of spanish to trips around Ecuador. Spanish lessons are taught in small groups (2 to 5 in a class) within 6 different ability levels from Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day. With our travel programs we strive to make your stay in Ecuador an experience for a lifetime. We support education for low-income children through scholarships, study materials and other financial aid.

Accommodation:
In order to improve participants’ Spanish skills, accommodation is arranged with a host family with breakfast and dinner included (for Quito, Cuenca and Manta) and in a students’ dorm in Montanita. To complement their program, students could apply for volunteer work positions (humanitarian or ecological related programs).
Activities:
In your free time you can learn typical Latin American dance rhythms like the cumbia, merengue, salsa, and others. You can also practice traditional handicrafts and learn to play native musical instruments.
Tours and activities will take place throughout the week. Participants have the flexibility to choose the length of their package from 1 to 4 weeks with the possibility to extend their course with private or group lessons in their favourite location upon request.
"El Cajas" National Park, just 30 minutes away from Cuenca, a place where you can go hiking, fishing, rock climbing, look the awesome paramo landscape and feel its tranquility enviroment.
