Galway Language Centre is a small, family-run adult school located in a beautiful, renovated 18th century mill overlooking the river Corrib, right in the centre of Galway city, on the West coast of Ireland. Our highly qualified and experienced teachers, along with our maximum of 8 students per class, allow us to give each of our students all the attention and the support they need to make the most of their stay in Ireland.

The old quarter, nestled round the Spanish Arch and the remains of the medieval city walls, has always been a favourite with visitors. Its narrow streets are filled with shops, pubs, restaurants and bookshops.

Galway’s friendly informal atmosphere, clubs, live music scene, lively pub life and traditional Irish music attract visitors from all parts of the world, and its many festivals all enjoy an international reputation.

Galway is a very small city, and on arrival, you will have no difficulty in getting from Galway Airport to the centre of Galway or to your accommodation. The airport is only 12km from the middle of Galway, and the bus/train station is located on Eyre Square (the main city square). Students staying with host families usually go to the family home from either the airport or the station by taxi.
