Galway Language Centre:
Galway Language Centre is a small, family-run English school for adults located in a beautiful, renovated 18th century mill overlooking the river Corrib, right in the centre of Galway city, on the West coast of Ireland. Our highly qualified and experienced teachers, along with our maximum of 8 students per class, allow us to give each of our students all the attention and the support they need to make the most of their stay in Ireland.

General English Courses 

English for General Use - Standard Course
- 20 group lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes)
- Timetabled 9.00-12.30, Monday to Friday
- Minimum booking: 2 weeks
- Starting dates: Any Monday, except where holidays are indicated
- Fee reductions after 4 weeks during September to May
- Maximum of 8 students in a group 

English for General Use - Intensive Course
- 30 group lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes)
- Includes 10 lessons per week of special speaking and skills classes
- Timetabled 9.00 - 12.30, Monday to Friday, plus 13.45-16.30, 3 afternoons per week
- Maximum of 8 students in a group
- A special concessionary rate for private lessons is available to our students attending full-time General English courses.

Part Time Evening Courses - All Levels- 4 group lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes)
- Timetabled 18.30–20.00 or 20.15–21.45, two evenings per week
- General English and Exam Preparation courses

Specialist Courses

English Tailor-Made: English for Business and Professional Use
- Available as a full-time group course, 20 or 30 lessons per week, plus 10, 15 or 20 private lessons per week (1 lesson = 45 minutes).
- Timetable and special subjects negotiable at the time of booking.

English for Special Purposes
- Specialist subjects can be booked as English Tailor-Made above.

Private Lessons

Cambridge Examination Preparation
Cambridge Examinations are given in Galway, Dublin and Cork.
- Mid-March (FCE & CAE)
- Mid-June (FCE, CAE & CPE)
- Mid-December (FCE, CAE & CPE)
 
TOEFL * TOEIC * IELTS * BEC
We offer preparation for these examinations as EG20 or EG30 in combination with private tuition, or in private lessons alone. Courses and timetables can be negotiated at the time of booking.

Further Language Classes for Adults:
Galway Language Centre also provides quality foreign language courses for adults during the academic year. Over the years, we have offered Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Russian, German, Norwegian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, and Portuguese language courses. We can also offer other languages upon request.
