Solemar-Sicilia Language School in Sicily has been working successfully for more than 19 years aiming at offering highly qualified Italian courses in a friendly atmosphere at favourable prices. Our students stay in very charming holiday houses in a small bay about 15 km from Palermo. We have two Italian schools in Sicily, one in Aspra / Mongerbino, and one in Cefalu. As we enjoy a pleasant climate all year round, it is possible to have a relaxing beach and a stunning culture holiday together.

We offer different types of courses and accommodation. We work with students from all over the country. Accommodation in hotels, single, double, triple room in holiday apartment with other students, Italian Family, Bed and Breakfast.

Courses / Programs:

Intensive Italian courses (4hrs/day) in group, Personal courses (intensive + 1hr/day one- to-one), business Italian courses (6hrs/day), Learning Italian on the job (4 weeks "Personal"+4weeks, apprentiship), one-to-one lesson (each hour of 45 min.), one-to-two lesson.

Sicily offers many opportunities. Beside the contrasted landscape there are also many cultural and historical traces . Jus off the coast we have many smaller islands archipelagoes. Moving inland from the coastwe reach green hills and valleys and thene the vulcano Aetna; the ' mountain of the mountains ', how the Sicilians call it, always offering its ever-changing sight to travellers and nature lovers. The many cultural monuments, witnesses of an eventful history, in which Siculi, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spaniards left their traces, still breathing throughout the whole island. Sicily offers sights and occasions of cultural intrest with its Greek temples, Roman Amphitheaters, Castes and cathedrals, up to the royal buildings in Palermo.

We offer a wide range of quality Italian courses for individuals and groups. Our teachers are graduates of the Italian language and literature or foreign languages, and are young, friendly, professional, patient, and have experience of teaching in Italy and abroad. The strong relationship between students and teacher is a core part of our methodology.

Our school is located inside the restored palace of Arezzo di Donnafugata. All rooms are air conditioned, with internet availability. Every Saturday excursions can be arranged to Siracusa, Catania, Taormina, Agrigento and Temples, Palermo, Cefalù, Piazza Armerina, Enna, Mount Etna, Erice, Trapani and many other wonderful sites. Beautiful beaches can be reached in 20 minutes by car. Bike and trekking are also possible. Seminars and movies are also used at our school, to help give students a better knowledge of Italian culture, population and territory.

We provide Italian language courses for foreigners, including intensive Italian courses, CELI exam preparation, private Italian lessons and corporate Italian training for professionals / companies. Our teachers are native Italians who hold the DITALS professional qualification awarded by the University for Foreigners of Siena for teachers of Italian as a Foreign Language.
