The school is run by Anja Schultz and Andrea Moradei, who have almost 30 years experience in the field of teaching Italian language and culture. They have created a new center, with the aim of offering a variety of programs, better suited to the demands and interests of language learners from abroad. Note in particular, the customized Italian language programs directly linked to students’ reasons for learning Italian.
Special attention is now devoted to the afternoon individual and group programs, providing background information on a variety of subjects. These include: History of art, the Arts, photography, modern architecture and design, political and social analysis, Tuscan cuisine, food and wine. This new approach naturally led us to consider sharing experiences with the Centro Italiano in Naples, as their center has been operating along these lines for many years, with excellent results. We want to offer students the best possible experience in learning the Italian language and culture.

Learn Italian in the heart of Rome, Italy with Koiné - Italian Language Centre! We provide Italian language courses for foreigners, including intensive Italian courses, CELI exam preparation, private Italian lessons and corporate Italian training for professionals / companies. We also offer online Italian classes via Skype.Our teachers are native Italians who hold the DITALS professional qualification awarded by the University for Foreigners of Siena for teachers of Italian as a Foreign Language. They are also members of APIDIS (Italian Teachers for Foreigners Professional Association) with significant teaching experience. Our Italian lessons are based on dynamic teaching methods and a stimulating language program that incorporates the student’s interests and various aspects of Italian life. We use communicative and humanistic-affective methods of teaching Italian. We also organise tours of Rome and many other social events, so that you are fully immersed in the Italian language and culture.
In addition to our Italian language courses, we provide a DITALS II certification course which trains you to teach Italian as a Second Language and Italian as a Foreign Language. This course is monitored by the University for Foreigners of Siena.
Koiné is conveniently located in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano, which is less than 10 minutes from Termini Station and 2 minutes from San Giovanni underground station.

The Centro Machiavelli was founded in 1978, and is located in the historic centre of Florence, just a stone's throw from Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, in the area of Santo Spirito. This neighbourhood is home to artisans and artists and as it is just off the beaten tourist track, the economic and social characteristics has been left intact. The school is in Piazza Santo Spirito itself, one of the finest squares of the city. English Studio offers a various range of Italian one-to-one or small group courses, which combine Italian language teaching and cultural itineraries around the beautiful area of Verona and Lake Garda, in the north of Italy. Our school is situated in the town of Villafranca di Verona, sourrounded by hills and countryside.The school can also help students find their accomodation, either at host families, hotels or B&B.
