TLI School Of English Edinburgh:
We opened TLI English school in Edinburgh in 1992, after deciding to come home to Scotland after many years teaching abroad. TLI School of English is a family run school and much of our teaching is done by our experienced family team. This makes us very motivated and determined to give our students what they need. In total, our tutors have more than 80 years experience between them. Our beautiful location in Edinburgh are a lovely environment in which to study and we now offer English Language Courses, TEFL courses, and Exam preparation courses.

TLI Europe offers the following English courses:

- General English
This English course is for people who wish to improve their general level of English. The course concentrates on improving all aspects of your English but we strongly believe in helping you to learn to speak English well so much of your time will be spent practising listening and speaking.

- Intensive English
This English course is for people who wish to improve their general level of English but who also want an opportunity to do a little extra work in the afternoon to practise and consolidate what they have learnt in the morning session. With small groups in the afternoon you will be able to practise speaking more and to have conversations with your teacher using some of the English you learn during your course. In the intensive course, you can also ask your teacher to do what YOU want to do without worrying about the other students in the class.

- Business English
In today's global economy, English is becoming more important for you in your working life. At TLI English language school we understand what you need to secure a better job or promotion within your company or to give you the confidence to communicate effectively in the language of business. The Business English course strongly concentrates on the use of English within the corporate world but YOU decide what you want to study. Areas that are available for study include:

- Cambridge University Examinations - FCE (First Certificate) CAE CPE
The FCE CAE and CPE exams are recognised globally giving you an important qualification to secure jobs all over the world and in your home country. Also, these exams are excellent for giving you a direction in which to study and to motivate you to improve your English level to a high level of fluency. At TLI English Language School you will prepare for these exams in a warm and friendly environment with experienced teachers who know exactly what you need to pass these challenging tests of English. Your course will cover all the major topics in the exams and you will have many opportunities to ask questions, practise the speaking and listening components and do practise tests.

- IELTS Exam preparation
The Cambridge IELTS exam is for people who wish to study at an English speaking university. The university will use your grade on the IELTS exam to decide whether your English is good enough to attend a degree course in Britain or another English speaking country. Also, some employers ask for a particular grade on the IELTS exam from non-native speakers of English. The IELTS preparation course concentrates on the following areas:

- Evening English Classes
If you are working or busy during the day time this course is an excellent opportunity for you to improve your English in the evenings.
