General English Courses:
In classes of max. 6, average 4-5 students, we offer a choice of 4 courses with a variety of course intensities from 25-35 lessons per week.  Courses are either entirely taught in mini-groups or in a combination of mini-groups and 1-to-1 to allow us to assist you with your own individual needs and problems.

Business & Executive Courses:

Private English Lessons / Full-time 1-to-1:
1-to-1 courses of 25-35 lessons per week are available all year.

At Severnvale we believe that an important part of the learning process is to talk as much as possible with English people, so we strongly recommend homestay accommodation.  All our homestay accommodation is carefully selected & regularly inspected by our Accommodation Manager to ensure our standards are being met.  We also know our accommodation providers personally - many have hosted our visitors for many years. There are many kinds of host - we provide EXECUTIVE (with private bathroom), DE LUXE and STANDARD homestays , but they all share one aim - to make you feel welcome & help you get the most from your stay.

Added to this, we choose the accommodation you want - the more you tell us about yourself, the better chance we have to select accommodation which perfectly suits you.  You'll be living within walking distance of the academy or an easy bus ride away; or - if you choose executive homestay and you are little too far away to walk, we'll provide free taxis to and from the Academy.

And of course, if you don't want to live in a 'host family' situation, we'll help you arrange a different kind of accommodation... we have special rates from the best hotels and guest houses in the area, some of which are less than 5 minutes' walk from Severnvale.

We have 24-hour emergency phone lines, special arrangements with doctors and dentists... in fact, whatever your situation, we will act swiftly to help you in every way we can.

HISTORY...
With a thousand years of architectural heritage, Shrewsbury is one of the ‘jewels in the crown’ of rural England.  History surrounds you as you walk the streets, right to the door of Severnvale… our academy is in a beautiful Georgian House (c.1761) in the centre of the town.

Shrewsbury has a population of 100,000.  It is the county capital of Shropshire and is the main commercial centre for a surrounding population of nearly half a million people.  The town has plenty of life – over a hundred pubs, restaurants & night clubs; excellent sports and health-club facilities; internationally renowned chain stores and lots of independent shops & boutiques.  It is surrounded by beautiful countryside – great for walking, cycling, fishing, golf etc.  In fact, whatever you want to do, you can find somewhere here to do it.  What’s more, Shrewsbury has one of the driest climates in the UK.
