Our homestay accommodation is very popular and is available all year round. Our families are mainly based in the attractive suburbs of Edinburgh, usually an average journey of 30 minutes away from the school by bus. Some hosts are able to accommodate more than one student but no two students of the same mother tongue are placed together unless specifically requested.
Homestay accommodation is offered on a half-board basis. Both standard and en-suite homestays are available, with en-suite homestays offering private bathrooms.
During the summer season, the Edinburgh School of English offers single room accommodation at Pollock Halls, the University of Edinburgh’s main residence. Apartment accommodation is also available in the summer. New Arthur Place apartments are superbly located in the heart of the city centre and are just a 15-minute walk from our main school on the celebrated Royal Mile.
Edinburgh School of English stands proudly on the historic Royal Mile – the most famous street in Scotland. The Edinburgh School of English is housed in a magnificent 1820’s building. Behind the facade, the building has been transformed into a bright, well-equipped and modern English language school.
