Teaching Method:

To meet the needs of your child/children our teachers assess the developmental level of each child using the 3-M method for observing the children interaction with materials:

1. Manipulation
2. Mastery
3. Meaning

This method is based on the research of cognitive psychologists Jean Piaget, and also speaks to the findings of famous Italian Educator Reggio Emilio. We at KC’s find this to be an invaluable method for determining a child’s level of involvement with materials and activities. This method is important for planning and arranging self-directed learning environments that give your child/children an opportunity to interact with materials appropriate to his/her own age and stage of development.

Caring Environment:

We have provided a classroom environment that allows your child/children to:

1. Perceive which activities are available.
2. Make their own choices of activities to pursue.
3. Become deeply involve in their own learning.
