Well-rounded Education Program:
The Storm King School curriculum is college preparatory, placing an emphasis upon a well-rounded education. As members of the learning community, students become increasingly involved in making decisions related to their education. Each student is given the opportunity to develop his/her own talents and independence. This development occurs in an environment characterized by a sense of self-worth, responsibility, and humor, combined with the structure needed to succeed. A close relationship between students and faculty fosters a community atmosphere conducive to learning in the classrooms, on the stage, in the dorms, and on the athletic fields.
Storm King faculty share their experience and expertise, strive to inspire, and personalize the educational process for each student. Teachers are available to students, helping those who need more of a guiding hand, and challenging those who break the confines of the syllabus.
