The Storm King School:
The Storm King School is a coeducational college preparatory school. Storm King enrolls 77 Boarders and 32-day students in Grades 9-12. The school is located near the crest of Storm King Mountain on the west bank of the Hudson River, about 50 miles north of New York City, in scenic Eastern Orange County.

The 65-acre campus offers a serene setting and a magnificent view, including a sweeping bend of the river, the Shawangunk Mountains, and the distant Catskills. The 3,600-acre Black Rock Forest, a wilderness preserved by environmentalists, adjoins the campus to the south; West Point Military Academy reservation and Bear Mountain Preserve. Within easy reach via the Palisades Parkway.

Located in Amenia, Dutchess County NY, The Kildonan School is an accredited, co-educational day and boarding school for children and teenagers with dyslexia and language-based learning differences.

Only 90 miles north of New York City, we offer educational programs for elementary, middle and high school students (Grades 2-12). Boarding programs are available for students in grades 7-12, with 5-day & 7-day options available.

Our mission is to empower students with dyslexia by increasing their self-esteem and motivation. Students often come to us from educational experiences where they struggled to find success because that environment did not recognize their potential and/or know how to meet their needs.

Kildonan uses a pure Orton-Gillingham approach, which is an instructional approach intended primarily for use with persons who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing of the sort associated with dyslexia.

The Astor Learning Center (ALC), Upstate NY

Located in Rhinebeck in Upstate New York, The Astor Learning Center (ALC) is a therapeutic boarding school for boys and girls ages 5-13 with serious behavioral and emotional difficulties. Our residential programs are designed to provide a nurturing environment for children who must live away from their families while they receive treatment.

Established in 1980, ALC has been named three times as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Our students benefit from small class sizes (6-8 students) in a nurturing environment conducive to learning. We aim to help children who have often experienced failure in school to finally succeed.

In our Residential Treatment programs, we treat a wide range of behavioral and mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and fire setting behaviors.
