Christian Volunteer Opportunities in Costa Rica / the Caribbean
Experience Mission:
Based in Port Hadlock, Washington, Experience Mission is a Christian mission organization offering a 6 month immersion program in the Caribbean region that starts by serving in one of South Atlanta's toughest neighborhoods before volunteering abroad in Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica. Experience Mission also offers a mission program in Africa, that starts in the Native American Navajo Nation of northeastern Arizona, before travelling to South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana. We currently do not provide Spanish classes as part of our program in Costa Rica.
Immersion - Atlanta to Caribbean (6 month program):
Travel to four countries in six months, experiencing everything from the bustling inner city to the remotest parts of the rainforest. After a week of training and team-building, you'll immediately begin serving in one of South Atlanta's toughest neighborhoods. Then you'll travel to the countries of Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica, building authentic relationships and partnering with local leaders to create sustainable change.
Take part in projects that tackle real social, physical and spiritual needs, such as teaching English, organizing kids programs at orphanages, partnering with local churches, organizing water projects and developing micro-finance strategies for the community. Get ready to ask the hard questions about yourself as you examine your relationship with God and others. Take a leadership role on the team and actively participate in shaping the program. Your day-to-day life will vary in each community, so please come with a willing and flexible heart to serve in a variety of ministry opportunities.
Immersion - Navajo to Africa (6 month program):
Begin with training and service on the Navajo Nation of northeastern Arizona, where you will learn how to work together as a team. Then, board a plane for the beautiful countries of South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana, immersing yourself into the life of each community.

Crossing Borders provides high-quality Spanish language classes for adults and children in Katy TX, next to Cinco Ranch just west of Houston. Whether you are a complete beginner or at a more advanced level, we have a class to suit your specific needs.

Spanish World Institute (SWI) is one of the most successful Spanish language schools in Colombia. Costa Rican Language Academy, CRLA, has been providing high quality Spanish language instruction along with an authentic Latin American cultural experience since 1989. CRLA is completely owned and operated by Costa Ricans. All our professors have university degrees as well as ample training and experience. Our Spanish immersion program includes Homestay with local families, Latin dance classes, Costa Rican cooking classes, additional conversation sessions, and other cultural activities. Centro Panamericano de Idiomas (CPI), is a Spanish immersion language institution in Costa Rica in Central America. CPI is the only Spanish immersion school in Costa Rica with campuses in three diverse regions of the country, with the same quality service: CPI Monteverde, CPI Heredia and CPI Flamingo. Instituto de Español Costa Rica

Our Institute is located in the capital of Costa Rica, San José, in the eastern part called Guadalupe, about 400 m from the State University (Universidad de Costa Rica) and 10 minutes from downtown (using the public bus). San José is situated in the interior of the country, buses leave to every part of the country from here. This makes it easy to reach the beaches, e.g. it is just a 2 hours bus ride to get to Jacó Beach. The aim of the Instituto de Español Costa Rica is to enable students to really communicate in the Spanish language. For this reason our methodology is based on a new concept of Total Immersion in the Spanish language.
All materials integrate Spanish language education in the four linguistic abilities: speaking, comprehension, reading and writing. Our students can decide between small group or individual classes, or Specialized Spanish Programs.
