Be Unique Academy is a K-8 educational institution that provides services to children with a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Based in Southwest Miami (Miami-Dade County), Be Unique Academy is a loving, nurturing and unique place for children. Our qualified staff create life-long relationships providing consistency and stability in the student’s life. About Be Unique Academy:

Be Unique Academy was created to provide services to those children that need us the most. Founder Johana Sarmiento and Felix Cardenas envisioned a place where all children no matter their disabilities could share one common place where they could learn, share and laugh all while becoming productive members of their community. They have combined 20+ years of experience making this vision come true.

Our Mission:
To create and provide a nurturing and educational environment for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities addressing the whole child: mind, heart and soul. We encourage close relationship development between teachers and students, providing a kind of consistency and stability that is rare in other settings.

Our Goal:

The goal of Be Unique Academy is to provide a nurturing environment where students feel accepted and loved for who they are, while maximizing their full academic, physical and social potential.

Located in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, Trinity Christian Academy was founded in 1967 to meet the academic, spiritual, physical and social needs of our students.The lower division consists of grades K3 through 6. Highly qualified and certified teachers provide a strong foundation for education, spiritually, and life skills development. With 4 locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area, The Broach School is is a private K-12, non-profit special education school for children with specific learning disabilities (SLD) and autism. The Broach School was started in 1973 to meet the ever-increasing need for quality personalized instruction.

Our School was founded to help students who were getting lost in overcrowded classrooms by giving each one the complete, personal attention of their teacher. Today, The Broach School is continuing to reach new heights by helping students overcome learning disabilities and gain confidence in the classroom.

The Broach School models the 1-room schoolhouse method of early American education. Each course is designed to take students from a point of weakness to a point of strength. Students are taught personally in small groups to ensure every student can proceed at their own pace without losing the value of a shared classroom experience.
