Overnight Summer Camps in North Idaho
Camp Lutherhaven:
Based in Coeur d'Alene, close to the National Forest in rural Idaho, Camp Lutherhaven provides traditional summer camp programs for boys and girls from 1st through 12th Grade. All campers are supervised by qualified, trained camp staff.
Campers will stay in either a cabin, yurt, or lodge with their cabin group and counselor. Bathrooms are located in their living space or a short walk away.

From the North: Sandpoint, Idaho & Canada via US 95
- Travel SOUTH on US 95 through Coeur d'Alene; you will cross the Spokane River
- Approximately 6.5 MILES past CdA, turn LEFT onto Kidd Island Bay Road
- Follow the signs to CAMP LUTHERHAVEN, approximately 3 miles, turning RIGHT onto Valhalla Road and RIGHT onto Lutherhaven Road
From Missoula, Montana or Spokane, Washington via I-90
- Take Interstate 90 into Coeur d'Alene
- Exit at US 95 South
- Travel SOUTH on US 95; you will cross the Spokane River

- Follow the signs to CAMP LUTHERHAVEN, approximately 3 miles, turning RIGHT onto Valhalla Road and RIGHT onto Lutherhaven Road
From the South: Moscow & Lewiston, Idaho via US 95
- Take US 95 North toward Coeur d'Alene
- Approximately 26.5 miles NORTH of Plummer, Idaho, turn RIGHT onto Kidd Island Bay Road (First RIGHT 2 miles past the MICA BAY turnoff on US - 95.)
- Follow the signs to CAMP LUTHERHAVEN, approximately 3 miles, turning to the RIGHT onto Valhalla Road and RIGHT onto Lutherhaven Road

Canoe Island French Camp

Summer fun with a French accent! L’été avec un petit accent! Learn to speak French and enjoy the fun of an overnight summer camp on a private island. Find a little bit of France in the San Juan Islands at this Northwest Washington sleepover summer camp, one of the country's premier French camps. Campers, ages 9-16, take part in a unique mix of French language and culture through artistic and outdoor activities. At Canoe Island French Camp we try to insure that our older campers have opportunities to plan and do activities as a group with staff: sunset campfires on a beach, an off-island trip to Friday Harbor, and one- or two-night sailing and kayaking outings. Tipis are arranged by age and, where possible, French class and French Culture class, too. With only 45 campers on the island, you can choose your own experience - artistic and theatrical, adventuresome and athletic - or any combination. Days are filled with new friends and exciting activities all with a French flair. A gala Bon Voyage Banquet, talent show and awards ceremony end each session.
Mornings at camp are devoted to French language classes and activities: fencing, French cuisine, and culture, theater, art, and photography.
In the afternoon campers choose on a daily basis between swimming, sailing, kayaking, archery, art, rock climbing and a variety of sports. French songs, vocabulary for activities, and games are incorporated into each day.
Evening programs include campfires, theatrical and musical productions, beach cookouts and campfires, camp-wide games, and astronomy.

International House Vancouver

Since 1998, International House Vancouver has offered unique, educational, and fun English language (ESL) summer programs for young learners to suit every need, budget and language ability. In Vancouver, we offer a Children's Adventure Program (CAP) for children ages 5-12, suitable for mother & child or family study.
We also provide a Homestay Junior Program for 13-17 year olds, as well as a Residential Junior Program on the campus of the University of British Columbia for 9-17 year olds.
These programs are affiliated and held to the standards of Languages Canada, the IHWO, and AILIA, organizations that insist on the highest degree of educational excellence.
We ensure the quality our classes with teachers who are qualified in both language instruction and working with children and young adults. With a range of programs on offer, we can provide the best choices to fit most any need.
