We provide a welcoming and engaging English language (ESL) summer programs for students ages 10-16. Our English summer classes are specifically designed for ELL (English Language Learning) students who wish to improve their English language skills in a fun and relaxed environment. We welcome students from all over Seattle, the U.S., and around the world.

Our boarding program features a truly international atmosphere. Each summer, the dormitory welcomes approximately 200 students from more than ten countries. Youth Empowered Action

Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp is a unique and inspiring residential summer leadership program in Oregon, Massachusetts and California for youth 12-17 years who want to make a difference in the world. There will be two sessions in Oregon at Camp Adams in Molalla, Clackamas County. In Massachusetts, YEA Camp will be held at the beautiful Hilltop space of Nature's Classroom in Charlton, Worcester County. Our northern California camp will be held at the beautiful Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County, about a two hours drive south of San Francisco.

At a week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp setting, YEA campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, or animal rights) and they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue once they get home.

Catlin Gabel School is located in the south-west of downtown Portland in Multnomah County, adjacent to St. Vincent's Hospital on south-west Barnes Road. Catlin Gabel offers summer programs ranging from arts and music, modern languages, writing, SAT prep, outdoor education, service and more. Our summer programs are open to all preschool through 12th grade students, not just those who are enrolled at Catlin Gabel.

Most of our summer programs are one-week courses, with the exception of our Summer Beehive program for children entering preschool through 2nd grade, allowing you to select times that work best with your summer plans.
