Miami Dade College, New World School of Arts:
Based in downtown Miami, New World School of Arts is a center for excellence in visual and performing arts situated on the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College. We provide a comprehensive educational program of artistic training, academic and creative development, and preparation for professional careers in the arts. We develop talented students in the areas of dance, music, theater and visual arts, and offer Bachelor Degrees in each of these disciplines.

Undergraduate Performing Arts Programs:

Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree - Dance
New World School of the Arts offers a comprehensive Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A) degree dance program essential for today’s professional dancer. We are conservatory-based, grounded in classical ballet and modern dance technique leading exposure to newer and World dance forms.

We are recognized internationally for our students’ exceptionally high performance and artistic levels, distinguished professional faculty, outstanding dance curricula, productive relationship with many international and national ballet and modern dance companies, the multi-cultural nature of our faculty and student body, and excellent facilities provided for dance.

Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree - Theater
The Theater program is dedicated to the professional training of talented and committed students interested in pursuing a performing career in Theater and Music Theater. Our program offers students an opportunity to work in a hands-on intensive, physically demanding, artistically challenging and exciting environment, guided by faculty who are professional directors, playwrights, actors, and designers.

Our curriculum is a progressive journey toward the ownership of a personal technique and a comprehensive methodology of working. The faculty will guide the student through the discovery and exploration of self, the learning of diverse techniques used in our craft, intensive rehearsal process, and finally the application of this knowledge into dramatic forms and styles in productions.

Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree - Visual Arts
Through its gifted, emerging artists and unique programs, New World School of the Arts has become an educational and creative beacon of the arts. As an aspiring artist in the Visual Arts Division, you will have the opportunity to join these exceptionally talented students as you dedicate yourself to the pursuit of your artistic career in the visual, graphic or electronic arts. 

Trained by nationally renowned practicing artists, you will be encouraged to develop a personal, artistic and aesthetic vision while mastering your technical skills in traditional and new media. Students are allowed to explore new paths while at the same time being exposed to the work of both classical and contemporary masters. The comprehensive curriculum, rich in challenges, explorations and discoveries, culminates in the senior B.F.A. Exhibition.

Bachelor of Music Degree
Whether you sing or play an instrument, we understand your love of music and offer a curriculum that will maximize your talent. Students in our Music Division receive one-on-one instruction from accomplished musicians, as well as classes in theory, history, literature and performance practices, and the camaraderie of fellow musicians will challenge you to be your best. You will also expand your musical foundation through exposure to Miami's Latin and Caribbean influences.
