Carioca Languages, Rio de Janeiro:
Carioca is the Portuguese school for you!! Located in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Carioca Languages is a Portuguese language school specialized in teaching Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners. We teach students of all ages, levels and nationalities. Our classes are dynamic, efficient and didactic. Our teachers are experienced and highly skilled university graduates, with degrees in Portuguese Language. Our goal is to ensure that our students can feel confident in using both formal and informal Portuguese after just one course of lessons.
Intensive Brazilian Portuguese Courses (60 hours):
4 weeks, Monday to Friday, 3 hours per lesson, group lessons of 3-7 students, all materials included.
Level 1 (Basic): Basic grammar and oral practice for beginners in Portuguese.
Level 2 (Intermediate): Intermediate grammar and oral practice for students who have completed Level 1 or are fluent in Spanish who have some knowledge of Portuguese (verified by a placement test).
Level 3 (Advanced): Advanced grammar and oral practice for students who have completed Level 2 or have good knowledge of written and spoken Portuguese (verified by a placement test).
Semi-Private or Private Portuguese Lessons:
In the case of semi-private lessons (classes of 2 students) both students should be at the same Portuguese level (verified by a placement test). Intensive grammar and oral practice for one or two students. Basic, Intermediate or Advanced level content according to the student’s Portuguese level (verified by a placement test). Lessons are geared to the needs of the student, with the flexibility to best address your weak points in Portuguese. Material included.
Portuguese Conversation Classes:
4 meetings/month
Topics: current events, news, business, environment, culture and arts.
Groups of maximum 6 students.
speaking, listening, reading and writing.
CELPE-BRAS/ Vestibular Exam Preparation Classes:
Classes preparing for Celpe-Bras and simulated exam.
6 meetings, 3 hours.
Maximum 4 students per class.
Material according to the exam.
