Meher Montessori School in Altadena (approximately 14 miles from downtown Los Angeles) in Southern CA, is an AMI accredited Montessori school serving children from two and a half through six years of age. Young children who attend our AMI accredited school can learn many academic subjects with ease and joy. What is AMI?
AMI, which stands for The Association Montessori Internationale, is the organization founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori, to train teachers in the Montessori Method and accredit schools. Dr. Montessori founded AMI to preserve the authenticity and integrity of her Method. All of our teachers hold the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) diploma in addition to their undergraduate degrees.
