Antelope Valley Christian School:
Antelope Valley Christian School is located in Lancaster in Los Angeles County (approximately 70 miles north of Los Angeles), California. We are a private non denominational Christian school offering Preschool through to 12th Grade programs, as well as programs for international students. The staff and faculty of the Antelope Valley Christian School will challenge and inspire each student to achieve academic excellence, develop personal integrity, and practice responsible citizenship. This takes place within a Christian environment that communicates and models the love of God through Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible as the basis of faith, character, and morals.
Preschool Programs:
The AVCS Preschool Program provides a safe and nurturing environment for your child to grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially. Games, arts and crafts, and other fun activities are used to build learning and social skills along with a basic knowledge foundation to help prepare them for elementary school. Biblical knowledge and principles are integrated within the program for each year of the preschool program. Reduced class sizes provide more individual attention for an enhanced and rewarding learning experience for each child.

Elementary School Programs (Grades 1 - 6):
Grades 1 through 6 continue to build upon the preschool foundation which is so important to future academic success. The elementary grades provide a structured learning environment for your child to continue the process of intellectual and spiritual growth and preparation for continued success. The smaller class size facilitates learning and social interaction through more individualized interaction with each student.
AVCS values each child as a unique individual loved by God and capable of learning and achievement. It is a priority for each member of the faculty and staff to exhibit the love of Christ to each child in every aspect of interaction with them.
Junior High School Programs (Grades 7 & 8):
Junior High students undertake a rigorous, pre-college preparatory curriculum. The learning environment is one of teamwork, collaboration, and encouragement. We seek to help the Junior Higher discover their talents, skills, self -discipline, responsibility and develop a love for learning.
High School Programs (Grades 9 - 12):
AVCS offers all students a rigorous course study, preparing them for University studies. Over the last six years, 98% of our graduates have been accepted into a four-year University. Many are making their mark in top ranked schools, continuing in a path of integrity and academic discipline established here at AVCS. We offer a fully accredited, UC Approved curriculum in which every student graduates with coursework required for University admission. AP courses are available in several subject areas.
We also encourage students to be involved in all aspects of school activities such as sports, community service, fine arts, technology, leadership and clubs in order to develop their talents and interests.
International Student Programs:
The AVCS offers the following dynamic and challenging programs for students from other countries who desire an American education experience:
Full Academic School Year Program (Late August - Early June):
This program is structured to equip international students with the English language skills and academics required for college success within the United States. AVCS believes total immersion in English at school and in the Residential Center is the best way to master the language. Students participate in all aspects of school life including the academic program, sports, and interaction with American students. This approach rapidly builds English skills.
American Cultural Experience (A.C.E.):
ACE is a short program designed for students visiting the United States and desiring to learn more about our culture, language, and history.
Summer School (Mid June - Late July):
There are two 4 week summer academic terms that take place on a compressed schedule:
- Students may enroll for one or both summer terms
- ESL classes are offered to help international students improve English skills in preparation for the next school year
- Students live in the Residential Center on-campus
The AVCS Residential Center:
Students entering grades 7 through 12 live on-campus in the Residential Center.
