For full-time international students,our Intensive English Course can help you improve your English speaking and listening skills, learn new vocabulary, and improve your reading and writing in small size class room or one on one private tutoring. Part-time study is also available for some visitors.

HOMESTAY PROGRAM:
The GEOS Homestay Program is intended to give visiting foreign students a first-hand experience of American culture by sharing with their host family in everyday life. As well as being able to use practical English language skills they have learned in school, it is expected that students will be able to participate in family activities for a holistic view of life in Torrance. A GEOS staff member visits each of our homestay families with student's interests in mind. Our aim is to provide our students with a secure, educational, and economical environment. Our host families live in safe, comfortable neighborhoods in Southern California.

# Local attractions include the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, the Joslyn Fine Arts Gallery, and the South Bay Center of the Arts at El Camino College. There are craft shows, the Bunka-Sai Japanese Festival, the Gourmet Food and Wine Festival, the Torrance shorts Film Festival and the Festival of Trees at Christmas.
# Throughout the year there are free Torrance Symphony concerts that everyone is welcome to attend.
# Wilson Park, located on Crenshaw Boulevard at Sepulveda, hosts the Certified Farmers Market on Tuesday from 8-1 and Saturday from 8-12, a train ride on the first Sunday of every month, there are roller hockey leagues that students could join. In addition, nearby there is the Madrona Marsh--a freshwater nature preserve as well as beautiful Torrance Beach.
# Torrance is also home to the Del Amo Fashion Center, the largest enclosed shopping mall in the west. This shopping mall has something for everyone with large department stores such as Macy’s as well as small specialty shops such as the Gap, Banana Republic, Liz Claiborne and the like.
