Preschool - Middle School Curriculum Overview
The founders of The Village School designed the curriculum so that all learning styles are addressed in order that more than one type of student may be permitted to both "shine" and "stretch." That is, presentations contain "something for everybody" so that each student not only finds the mode of greatest comfort for him/her, but is challenged to adapt to other, less comfortable but equally valuable modes.

Thinking Lab:
Two components are housed in the Thinking Lab at The Village School. The Thinking Lab classes are a series of teacher-directed lessons and associated activities in which each class and instructor grades K-8 participants. The program is designed to develop the sensitivity and inclination needed to engage in critical thinking. The second component, Open Lab, provides students who are ahead of the normal curriculum, an individualized enrichment program.
Before and After School Care:
The program provides before and after school care for children enrolled in The Village School only. Parents may make arrangements for additional care at enrollment or any time after as needs occur. However, acceptance in this program is limited to space available.
