International School Eerde, Ommen:
A historic castle surrounded by acres of garden and woodland; the perfect setting for International School Eerde. Founded in 1934, Eerde is the oldest international school in the Netherlands, offering a comprehensive educational programme for both day and boarding students. Eerde is the only school in the Netherlands with on campus facilities. The school pursues a contemporary policy and is proud of its leading position in the field of e-learning. As per the 2015-2016 academic year we have started the Falcons Sports Academy.

Each secondary student has his/her own laptop with wireless access to online planning thereby enabling them to view their tasks and assignments at any time. This online monitoring system also allows parents to continually monitor the achievements of their child.

Secondary School
Secondary school leads ultimately to qualification for university entrance. During the first five years students prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

International Baccalaureate Program
The International Baccalaureate programme takes another two years and is widely recognised as providing a well balanced pre-university education.

The IBDP is an accepted entrance qualification for top universities around the world (like Oxford and Cambridge, Harvard and the Sorbonne), equivalent to the British 'A' levels, the Dutch VWO diploma and the American high school diploma. Some American universities even admit students with the IB into the second year of degree programmes.

Located in the County of Kent, just east of London, Rochester Independent College (RIC) is a progressive alternative to conventional secondary education with a happily distinctive ethos.
