The Istituto Dante Alighieri Rome is an Italian language school situated in the centre of the capital city, with its backdrop the Vatican City and the majestic St. Peter's Basilica. We offer high quality Italian language courses for foreign / international students based on a flexible and dynamic method. The Dante Alighieri Italian school was founded in Milan in 1923 has only one objective: to teach and to propagate Italian language and culture throughout the world. We provide qualified Italian language teachers, modern facilities, small groups, cultural events, pleasant and friendly atmosphere.

Italian Language Courses:

We offer high quality Italian language courses for all levels from beginners to advanced:

Standard Italian Language Courses:
These are group courses which last between 2 and 4 weeks and are aimed at people who need to learn the language quickly. The attendance is of 4 lessons daily or 20 lessons a week. Minimum 6 students per class. 
 
Standard Plus Italian Language Courses:
For those students that want a combination of a group course in the morning and an individual class in the afternoon. You can attend the standard course in the morning and take 10 hours of private tutoring in the afternoon.

Evening Italian Language Courses:
These are aimed at all foreigners who work in Italy and need an extended course which will enable them to learn basic Italian. The attendance is of 2 hours a day, 3 times a week. The duration of this course is 10 weeks. Minimum 6 students per class.

Summer Italian Language Courses - June, July, August:
These general courses of Italian in Rome are specially designed to suit those who come from abroad for a study vacation. They are in the morning , 4 hours per day for 3 weeks, from 9.30 to 13.30 . Minimum 6 students per class.

Preparation Courses for the Italian Language CILS & CELI Exams:
The CILS - Certificate of Italian as a foreign language is the official title which establishes the communication level of Italian as a foreign language. The CILS certificate is awarded by the University for Foreigners in Siena and is recognised by the Italian State. The CELI – Certificate of Knowledge of the Italian language is the another official title awarded by the University for Foreigners in Perugia.

We organize a course of preparation for these Certifications and also take care of the enrolments . The course is held in November and May , 2 hours , three times per week, for three weeks. Minimum 3 students per class.

Semi-Individual Italian Language Courses (2 / 3 students):
These courses are aimed at people who work all day and need to learn Italian. The duration of the course varies from 30 to 90 hours and takes place 2 or 3 times a week. There are 2 or 3 students per class. 2 students per class - lesson duration: 60 min.

Individual, One-on-One Italian Language Courses:
Our students can have a personal tutor with whom they will be able to arrange lesson times - lesson duration: 60 min.

* Activities & Outings:
During Spring, Summer and Fall Seasons, the Dante Alighieri Institute organizes picnics and outings in the most beautiful and historic parks in Rome so the students can learn to appreciate the culture and customs of the Italians. In winter, the school offers well organized lectures on the History of Films and the History of Italian Art and culture.
