Italian Language Courses in Salerno in the South of Italy

Accademia Leonardo Salerno:
The warm and welcoming school of Accademia Leonardo is situated in the exciting center of the City of Salerno on the Amalfi Coast. For many years, Accademia Leonardo has been a lively culture center, welcoming hundreds of students of every nationality who wish to begin and perfect their knowledge of the Italian language, while at the same time, want to experience Italian lifestyle in one of the most recommended destinations in our country. The school´s primary goal is to increase the value of, encourage, and extend Italian language and culture, making use of our committed teachers who have been selected on the basis of their dedication, professionalism, communication skills, and personality.

Course Programs:
Group Courses and private lessons are available throughout the year. All courses can be attended for periods of one week or longer. There are four lessons a day, Monday through Friday. Each lesson is 55 minutes long.

Each class has a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 12. If there should be only 1 or 2 participants in a certain course/level, the number of hours will be reduced to two hours a day.

Levels:
6 levels have been determined and based on The Common European Framework of Reference for Language. After the completion of an exam that will determine the student’s Italian linguistic knowledge, every student will be assigned to the appropriate level which will be in conjunction with the course program chosen by the student.

Standard Italian Course:
There are six levels of Italian Standard Course that run throughout the year. The lessons are based on four main language skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening.

Italian Course Intensive:
The Italian Course Intensive is recommended to those who wish to dedicate as much time as possible to learning Italian. Lessons are given both in the morning and afternoon. Afternoon lessons will pay particular attention to the consolidation of a few grammatical structures to improve written and oral skills.

Italian Language Course PLUS:
The Italian Language Course PLUS is designed to combine the knowledge acquired by the student with the collections of exercises performed during individual lessons. During the hour dedicated to individual study, the student may suggest to the instructor particular needs and interests.

Italian Course for Professionals:
The Italian Course for Professionals is for those who wish to improve and develop his/her competency in the fields of economics, tourism, law, medicine, and opera. The course is designed specifically to enhance specialised vocabulary and develop a linguistic competency and communication skills related to specific matter.

Junior Courses:
This course is designed specifically for junior students ranging from ages 10 to 15 years old.
During the lesson, the teacher, will teach the Italian language and culture through songs, games and various activities.

Course 50+:
Accademia Leonardo accept students of every age and nationality.
With the growing demands of vacation-study packages for adults, Accademia Leonardo has created the ideal formula for a 50+ course.
The course, enriched with a vast series of cultural activities and excursions, is ideal for those who wish to take part in the experience of learning a language with others students of similar age. The lesson not only focuses on Italian grammar and conversation, but analyzes social and cultural aspects of the host country.

Individual Courses:
The Individual Courses are extremely flexible. Designed for those who have little time available but precise objectives to reach, the course are completely structured around the needs of the single student. On arriving at school the student and the teacher organize a work program which is personalized in both time and subjects.
