Morning Star School in Jacksonville, Florida, is a private, accredited, special education school offering grades K-8. Accreditation:
Morning Star School is fully accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference and the only Catholic School in the Diocese of St. Augustine that provides individualized educational programs for children with learning disabilities and process deficits.

The mission of Morning Star School as a Catholic Special Education School in the Diocese of St. Augustine is to provide meaningful educational experiences for learning challenged students in an atmosphere which promotes Gospel values while nurturing love and respect, the personal development of every child, creativity, and the joy of learning.
Our History:
When Morning Star School was opened in the Riverside section of Jacksonville, FL in 1956 its purpose was to provide a Catholic education for children who were physically handicapped. The school operated as an agency of Catholic Charities and was staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine.
In 1968, the student population had outgrown its Riverside facilities. At that time the school was moved to its present location in the Arlington section of Jacksonville.
The enrollment continued to increase, and in the early 1980’s it was determined that the great need in the community was to provide an appropriate educational environment for children with specific learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, dyslexia, and mild emotional handicaps. The focus of the school evolved to serve these children.

With 4 locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area, The Broach School is is a private K-12, non-profit special education school for children with specific learning disabilities (SLD) and autism. The Broach School was started in 1973 to meet the ever-increasing need for quality personalized instruction. Our School was founded to help students who were getting lost in overcrowded classrooms by giving each one the complete, personal attention of their teacher. Today, The Broach School is continuing to reach new heights by helping students overcome learning disabilities and gain confidence in the classroom.
The Broach School models the 1-room schoolhouse method of early American education. Each course is designed to take students from a point of weakness to a point of strength. Students are taught personally in small groups to ensure every student can proceed at their own pace without losing the value of a shared classroom experience.
The Broach School has four locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area in Bradenton, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Zephyrhills.
