At all levels of the elementary program our curriculum supports young children’s natural curiosity and love of learning. Our program nurtures children’s development by meeting their cognitive, creative, social, and physical needs in a loving, supportive environment. Through a variety of curriculum experiences in the elementary grades, our students are given many opportunities to acquire cognitive skills (appropriate to their individual stages of development), to take risks, to work cooperatively, and to make, choices which are essential to self-direction and creative problem solving.

The classroom environment is structured to encourage self-reliance and independence. As a result of the responsibility and respect our program instills in our students, they develop the confidence to approach new situations and challenges competently. Our students feel comfortable with learning while being challenged to move beyond what is within their grasp.

Our students not only acquire and develop skills in reading, writing, and math, but they also have many opportunities to conduct scientific experiments, visit ancient cultures via the Internet, investigate a wide realm of computer applications, and continually explore the world around them. Creative and aesthetic expressions and appreciation are developed through our fine arts programs, which include vocal and instrumental music, dance, and art. All students participate in regular physical education classes, which include swimming, fitness training, and sports. The development of all these skills adds to our students’ sense of personal accomplishment.
