Robbin's Nest Preschool and Kindergarten, Los Angeles County:
Located in La Crescenta, Los Angeles County, CA, Robbin's Nest Preschool and Kindergarten offers preschool and kindergarten programs focusing on child development and on the daily activities which are of interest to children at this age (ages 2-5 years). We are aware of the needs and expectations of parents and strive to complement the family structure catering for children from La Crescenta, La Canada Flintridge, Glendale, Montrose, Briggs Terrace and surrounding communities. We believe that experience in a good child care setting can prepare children for later life experiences. This can be accomplished in an environment in which the adults promote self-expression and creativity, but also pay attention to the importance of self-control and mutual respect.
At Robbin's Nest we understand the different needs of our families.

- 3 days / week (Mon/Wed/Friday)
- 5 days per week (Mon - Friday)

We have specific programs, facilities, and classrooms to accommodate non-potty trained children and children in training.

Parents can drop-off and pick-up their children anytime within these hours.
Preschool Program:
Our curriculum goals of our program center around play. The social interaction that occurs through play, is the child's prime educator. We place great emphasis on developing social skills among the children. With the assistance of the teacher, children learn to resolve their conflicts verbally. Through a curriculum based upon weekly themes, we accomplish these goals.
Kindergarten Program:
This class is a natural outgrowth of the preschool experience. There is a strong emphasis on reading readiness and pre-primer reading skills. Number concepts are reinforced with the use of concrete objects. Simple computation is introduced. Activities in art, music, science, computers, and motor development are expanded to include new ch
allenges. The enriched learning program provides the opportunity and motivation for each child to reach his or her fullest potential. Our small class size insures quality individualized attention.

Coastal Children's Learning Center
Courses / Programs
Located in Costa Mesa, Orange County CA, Coastal Children's Learning Center provides preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 18 months to 6 years. Our program is a learn-through-play, developmental course which follows the High Scope Curriculum. We are licensed for 39 children and have 8 staff members, and strive to maintain a low ratio of 1:8. We also offer a day care service.We believe that learning is most effective for children when it is provided through ‘play’. Play is the child’s work, where education is life. With this in mind, we will provide intellectual stimulation through a variety of new experiences where the teacher becomes a facilitator to problem solving in each child’s world.

The GeoKids / Menlo Survey Child Development Center is an accredited, nationally recognized, non-profit parent co-operative providing high quality child care for children aged 3 months through to pre-kindergarten (5 years). The center is located on the Menlo Park, CA campus of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in San Mateo County, and is supported in part by the General Services Administration (GSA) and the USGS.GeoKids is a developmental play-based program founded on the belief that children are capable, competent, self-motivated learners. Within our program, adults encourage children to participate in everything that concerns them and to do as much as they are capable of doing for themselves.
