The Learning Castle:
The Learning Castle (TLC) in La Canada (approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Los Angeles), Southern CA is an Independent private co-educational school offering an excellent, accelerated Kindergarten through third-grade education. The Learning Castle focuses on each student’s needs through an individualized curriculum. Low teacher-to-student ratios, coupled with curricula developed by and for The Learning Castle style of teaching, have led to outstanding results with students learning at an accelerated pace.
Our Mission:

Our History:
In 1992, The Learning Castle was founded by Terry Villanueva with a very simple idea in mind: that every child is different and every child deserves to be treated as an individual. With 14 students, two portable classrooms, and two teachers (who were also the administrators), the dream was born. Granted a special license from the State of California to offer an academic curriculum to four-year-olds, The Learning Castle opened with students from four years old to third grade.
La Cañada Preparatory (LCP) was added in 2002. Today, the total enrollment for TLC and LCP has grown to 385 students with a faculty of over 60. Enrichment programs are offered in art, computers and Spanish, and LCP offers interscholastic athletic opportunities in boys’ and girls’ tennis, boys’ flag football, girls’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, boys’ baseball and girls’ softball. Extracurricular activities are offered in chess, cheerleading, student government, and newspaper staff. But one thing has remained the same over those 16 years . . . every student is different and every student deserves to be treated as such.

Located in Bel Air in Western Los Angeles, CA, Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool provides a primarily full-day, Christian-oriented Preschool program (with limited part-time availability) for children aged between 2.5 and 5 years of age. We offer an NAEYC accredited early-childhood developmental program that provides a quality curriculum that fosters the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth of each child in a safe, loving, nurturing environment. It meets the needs of the individual child and allows children to learn through experience and play.Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool has eight morning classes and three afternoon classes (Afternoon Enrichment) with two teachers in each classroom. Delphi Academy of Los Angeles is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian day school offering a preschool through high school program on one campus.The campus is located in the foothills of the Angeles National Forest in the equestrian community of Lake View Terrace in the San Fernando Valley region.

Kids Into Speaking Spanish (KISS) is a total Spanish immersion program for preschool and kindergarten age children (from 2 to 6 years), with two locations in the East Bay region of San Francisco Bay Area: Walnut Creek (East of Oakland in Contra Costa County) and Montclair, Oakland, CA. The schools are a safe and exciting place for children to grow and learn. Our success over the last seven years is a testament to our innovative program. We provide a wonderful program designed to prepare your child for academic success. About 95% of the activities are conducted in Spanish. The core of our curriculum consists of activities and participation in cultural experiences such as singing, dancing, art projects, cooking, and games - all done entirely in Spanish.
All of the instructors we hire are native speakers because the KISS program emphasizes proper pronunciation and exposure to various aspects of Latin culture. We believe that creating an environment where children have fun, while being exposed to the Spanish language paves the way for greater receptivity to learning the language in a more structured setting later.
