The Virtual School of Music:
The Virtual School of Music is your online source for live music instruction offering one-to-one music instruction in the areas of woodwinds, brass, guitar, strings, bass, percussion, keyboard, and voice. Other individual classes include music theory, jazz improvisation, music education courses for music teachers and our new College Prep Programs. Group classes are available in the areas of music theory, basic jazz improvisation or sectional workshops.
Online Classes:
Live instruction is completed over the internet via broad-band internet connection utilizing a web camera, microphone, internet video conferencing application and teacher designed curriculum for students 16 years and older. Providing web-based music curriculum to students in various countries throughout the world, our renowned faculty is the cornerstone of our success for a broad-based e-Learning music environment. Our students may access various music resources (i.e. handouts, practice tracks, past recorded lessons and supplemental videos), teacher comments, registration and information and student forum areas all via our convenient student web area. The Virtual School of Music is a place of community for members to discuss, share and learn with each other.

From experienced touring musicians to university educators, The Virtual School of Music faculty are able to provide our students with a wealth of musical knowledge in one online location. As pedagogues and performers, faculty members know what it takes to be a working musician and how to instruct students on reaching their full potentials as musicians.

Elementary through university level music programs in the 21st century are experiencing the ramifications of the overall decrease of music specialists and music program funding that was once a regular part of the general education system found in the various cultures of the world. Amanda Tosoff is an experienced jazz pianist and educator and offers private piano lessons in jazz and blues piano, theory, composition and more in Toronto, Ontario. All levels and ages are welcome - children, teenagers and adults.Amanda holds a BA in Music, Jazz studies and has won several awards including the Montreal Jazz Festival Grand Prix de Jazz in 2009. She has performed all over Canada, taught privately and at community music schools, and has run clinics in various schools, colleges and universities. In addition to performing all across Canada, she has released 3 CDs and has been featured on CBC radio and at festivals including the Montreal Jazz Festival.
