Housemothers are mature women who have raised families themselves. Their most important quality is that they like young people. Housemothers do daily room inspections to guarantee that girls keep orderly rooms with beds made and possessions organized.
Grier's students are all full-time boarders, therefore, a very complete schedule of trips is offered off campus each weekend. Girls can take trips to nearby stores or restaurants. Every few weeks a trip is scheduled to places as distant as New York City or Washington.
