Small Fry Dance Club:
Small Fry Dance Club offers a preschool dance program in Foster City in San Mateo County, CA. Our dance program is designed to give young students a survey style class that covers basics in tap, ballet, jazz, creative movement, and yoga. Our goal is to help each student find a place for dance in their life. No matter what the degree of each child's dance goals, discovering movement should be nothing but empowering. Through dance, Small Fry teaches children to be creative, physically fit, flexible, confident, and artistic.

About Us:

Small Fry Dance Club was founded by Jana Chapeton in early 2007. We have had 1,000 plus students come through the program at over 20 different schools. We have also been nominated as "Best Dance School" by Best of The Bay TV (2009).

All of our teachers have extensive education and experience teaching dance, performance, and motor skills to preschool and school age students. Twice a year, Small Fry dancers have the chance to participate in our company performances. Our shows are a great chance for the dancers to gain experience performing, while sharing their progress in weekly dance class with friends and family.

Preschool Dance Program:

- Our classes cover the basics in tap, ballet, jazz, creative movement, and yoga.
- We offer kids exposure to different dance disciplines while helping to develop their motor skills.

Our Directors:


- Jana Chapeton
:  During her 18 years of training, Jana has studied jazz, tap, hip hop, Afro - Haitian, Dunham technique, and choreography. Jana has been most influenced by Janel Tomblin - Brown, Ehud and Daynee Krauss, Susan Whipp, Alicia Pierce, and Kimberly Iniguez. In May of 2002, she completed her Bachelor's degree in dance at San Francisco State University.

Jana loves working with beginning level students and preschool dancers. Jana has been teaching through out the Bay Area since 1998. Currently, Jana is focused on developing Small Fry Dance Club. Since February 2007, the company has seen over 700 students in 15 schools through out the Bay Area.

- Carlos Chapeton
:  Carlos is Small Fry's Marketing Director. Although he has helped with Small Fry since the beginning, he did not take an official role until early 2009. Since then, Carlos has helped expand Small Fry to over 300 students and at 15 locations.
