High School Spanish Immersion Programs:

University Spanish Language Programs:
We have more than 14 years of experience organising academic programs for universities of Europe and the US. We cover all specialise fields such as: culture, economy, tourism, art, history, politics, international business, etc.

Home Stays with Spanish families:
In Instituto San Fernando, we think that living with a Spanish family is the best way to get “immersed” in the Spanish culture. All the families that take in our students have been carefully chosen trough a selection process made by our Housing department. Also, it is the best way to experience the best Spanish cuisine.

Cultural Visits:
At Instituto San Fernando, we are conscious of the fact that the success of a Spanish language program does not only rest in the quality of the classes, but also in the development of a cultural activities/free time program that immerses the student in the culture of the country that he/she is visiting. The cultural activities component of our programs is designed to provide our students with a vision of Spanish culture and society in the most complete and integrated form possible. It is based on diverse criteria, including our academic standards and the personal interests of our students. All activities are carefully planned, are discussed before and after in the classroom, include the appropriate materials, and always count on the presence of a specialized professor-monitor.

Activities:
Our activities have as their objective the facilitation of interpersonal relations, not only among the students, but with people in their environment. This is accomplished in an atmosphere which is relaxed and flexible.  They are activities of pleasure and leisure, although they do take into consideration, to a certain degree, the curricular aspect of students’ work. That way, there is coherence between the classes and the out-of class activities offered. We consider that, it is basic that the students learn Spanish in and out of class.

Excursions:
During the courses, we organize plenty of excursions to nearby places with the intention of living the students the opportunity to get to know more of Spain. All these excursions are integrated in the academic program and the highlight topics are covered in class. All of them are carried out by a Coordinator / teacher that will be explaining in an entertaining and amusing manner all the important historical and anecdotic aspects of the city. In some cases, this may include overnight hotel stays. What we are absolutely sure of is that the students will enjoy it a lot.
