The Spanish Institute in San Diego is a language center that offers Spanish language instruction to adults and children. We have two locations: One is in Mission Valley in San Diego County, 5 miles north of downtown San Diego, off Interstate 8, and the other is in Carlsbad in San Diego's North County region, approximately 35 miles north of downtown San Diego. Our classes are scheduled to fit your busy work schedule or your children's school schedule. We offer a variety of classes to accommodate your current level of proficiency in the Spanish language. We also offer private, semi-private, small-group and corporate classes. Class size is limited to 4 or 6 students so that each learner receives maximum individual attention and practice in conversation.

DELE Certification:
The DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language) are the official accreditation of the degree of fluency of the Spanish language that is issued and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain. The DELE is for citizens of a country where Spanish is not the official language. There are three different levels one can pursue:

- Diploma de Español (Nivel Inicial):  Intermediate Level – Requires a sufficient knowledge of the Spanish language to handle situations that require an elementary level of the language.

- Diploma de Español (Nivel Intermedio):  High-Intermediate Level – Requires a necessary knowledge of the language to allow communication in everyday situations that do not require specialized terms.

- Diploma de Español (Nivel Superior):  Superior Level - Requires an advanced knowledge of the Spanish language in order to communicate in all situations, as well as an advanced knowledge of Spanish culture.
