Boarding Program:

Image of Co-Ed Day & Boarding School in TennesseeThe residential program at Webb offers students wonderful opportunities to join a closely knitted community of approximately 100 students and adults on campus. Getting students involved in dorm life is crucial to making them feel at home.

Boarding students in grades 7-12 live in a supervised environment featuring four dormitories separated by gender and age. Our students live and learn under the guidance of our faculty house parents who monitor their academic progress and general well-being.

Boarding school students enjoy a variety of fun activities both on and off campus in addition to the academics typical of a challenging, independent college-preparatory school. These activities mostly take place during the weekend, but there are also opportunities during the week. Most boarding students are traditional 7-day boarding students, but there is a limited 5-day option for some students.

Facilities:
Webb has two male and two female dormitories. Students are assigned to a dorm on the basis of their grade. Each dorm has faculty members who support students in the dorm throughout the week. The dorm common rooms have a TV and DVD player along with computers and Internet connections. All dorms feature a wireless network.

Student Life:

Webb works to create an environment that encourages independence while providing its students with structure and support. Within the dorms is a network of faculty who are there not only to monitor, but also to offer advice and guidance to students who need it.

Activities:

With a variety of weekend activities from which to choose, boarders are never at a loss for something to do. Activities range from professional and college level sporting events and concerts in Nashville to white water rafting and trips to area malls and movie theaters. Each dorm plans its own activities, as well. The dorms will go out to dinner, watch movies, go bowling, or whatever everyone decides to do.

Academics:

The private boarding school education at Webb focuses on the whole student. Our rigorous college preparatory school programs offer the opportunities and support that prepare students for college, we also stress the personal development that prepares you for life. In our small boarding school community students learn the pride of hard work and the patience necessary to listen to others.

They gain the confidence to express themselves, whether in one-on-one conversations or in front of the whole school. Most of all, you find the trust in yourself that you can succeed. Webb's strong tradition of academic excellence - numerous National Merit Finalists and Semifinalists, SAT scores well above national average, 99% of students getting 3 or better on most AP exams - is grounded in this personal attention.
