University of East London - Royal Docks Business School:
University of East London - Royal Docks Business School offers a wide range of undergraduate and post-graduate degree programmes in business fields to both UK and international students, including a number of MBA programmes. Our business school is located in the historic Royal Docks in the Royal Albert Dock in the heart of London’s Docklands in East London, close to London City airport, and with excellent facilities and transport links. Our school exists to serve students, businesses and the community. We have strong international links, hosting visiting students and academics from many countries. We offer our own students opportunities to study abroad with a range of European partner institutions. We also offer opportunities for students to undertake our programmes at partner institutions abroad, or by Distance Learning.

International Students:

English Language Support:  We also work closely with the University’s English Language Centre to ensure that students for whom English is not their first language are able to take their language skills forward before they start their business or management course of study.

International students who do not yet meet the admission criteria for undergraduate honours degrees can apply for a place our International Foundation Programme, and then move on to their chosen honours degree. Graduates who need a boost in their English language skills, or orientation to business and management subjects, are advised to take our Graduate Certificate in Business as a Pre-Masters qualification. There are many opportunities to study our pre-sessional English classes. Once you are studying at Royal Docks Business School, you can also receive additional language support.

Executive Education:
We work to provide education services to business and management professionals in several ways.

* Custom-built provision:  Working with UK and international clients, we provide intensive short courses geared to the organisation’s particular needs. As required, our senior academics create tailor-made taught input, business simulations, and facilitate brainstorming and problem solving. We can deliver either at the client’s premises or by the side of Royal Albert Dock at our own Docklands campus.

* Programme provision:  Our postgraduate programmes offer an invaluable means by which busy professionals can update and deepen their qualifications. Placements & Internships:
At the University of East London and in particular the Royal Docks Business School, we have managed to build some very strong relationships with many local and national employers and will strive to continue to further improve our employer links in the future. We encourage our students to obtain appropriate work experience and support them in their hunt for placements and internships.

A placement / internship can enhance employability far more than general work experience and looks very convincing on a CV or a job application form. This is because they are usually much more focused on specific job areas, and this enables students to highlight what they have achieved on a specific project. With a one in three chance of being offered a job by the organisation with whom the student undertook the placement, sector-specific training and enhanced skills, there is every reason to complete a placement or internship.
