Training Courses:

Courses are run from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.

- Legal Bookkeeping Training (1 day and 3 days):
Boogles Legals have identified the weaknesses in the knowledge of what accounts people need to know when working with solicitors, and have devised a course to fill in this gap. This legal cashier course is ideally suited to those with an understanding of bookkeeping, who need to have the legal bookkeeping angle explained to them.

Legal cashier training is something that we ensure all of our team have had. It's difficult to be able to perform such a highly specialised role such as one of a legal cashier, without either years of experience, or some sort of legal cashier training. We are confident that if you are applying for legal cashiers jobs, or are currently employed as a legal cashier, then this course will give you a excellent grounding.

3-Day Course Schedule:
Day 1 - We go over solicitors accounts, the difference between 'normal' and legal accounting, we do some manual exercises to ensure you understand it from a very basic, manual level.

Day 2 - You attend our Solicitors Accounts Rules course - to get a complete overview.

Day 3 - We use a solicitors accounts package - and complete the manual exercises on the actual software, so that you can see how the two link together.

-  Solicitors Accounts Rules (1 day):
We run monthly Legal Cashier / Solicitors Accounts Rules Training courses in Central London. These one day workshops are practical courses - aimed at solicitors doing their own books, existing cashiers who want to brush up on their skills, bookkeepers who want to know more about legal bookkeeping and solicitors accounts and accounting & bookkeeping students who want to get a Certificate in Legal Bookkeeping.

We look at solicitor accounts - client account, office account, client interest, VAT and disbursements. We work on manual accounts - debits and credits. This isn't about learning the in's and out's of a legal software package - you can contact the specific software provider for that - This Legal Cashiers course is about learning solicitors accounts, and how to apply the rules to different situations and scenarios. We're working out of a workbook, so we're all together. And when you get back to the office / your clients, you'll be able to use the knowledge and information - regardless of the type of legal accounts package that you use.

It's a 1 day course. One session 9.30 to 4.30. We'll be there from 9 am, and you're welcome to stay for a glass of wine and do some networking 4.30-5, but the core of the course is 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. We understand that people are busy, they have jobs to do or other personal arrangements - so we've condensed it all into one day.

- Computerised Legal Accounts Software Packages (1 day):
We go over 3 different software packages in one day. You can stay for the entire day 9-5, or you can choose to just join us for one or two parts of the day, and learn that software.

- Legal Accounts Software 1: 9.00 -11.30
- Legal Accounts Software 2: 11.45 - 2.15 (includes lunch)
- Legal Accounts Software 3: 2.30 - 5.00

Woodgrove Tutorials
Courses / Programs
Woodgrove Tutorials are a Gloucester-based, award winning college and online training provider of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) book-keeping and accounts courses through distance learning / home study. The ICB book-keeping qualifications are hugely beneficial in acquiring employment as a bookkeeper. ICB's aims are to promote bookkeepers to allow them to gain recognition as an integral part of the financial system. The ICB controls this through qualifications and grades of membership which recognise the accomplishments of its members in academia, experience and individual competence.

Although the ICB provide the examination body, they don’t teach the courses themselves. On enrolment, students receive a ‘hard copy’ of course modules from Woodgrove Tutorials (by email and/or post by air mail) and submit assignments online.

Bookkeeping training is vital to any business, whether it be for an employee of a large national company or a self employed businessman, as it monitors the financial transactions of a business daily. It is essential that every business has at least one employee who is trained and qualified in bookkeeping to ensure that the business is run efficiently.
ICB Bookkeeping courses: From beginners through to expert levels:

- ICB Level I Certificate in Basic Bookkeeping

- ICB Level II Certificate in Manual Bookkeeping

- ICB Level III Diploma in Manual Bookkeeping

* Students are sent a ‘hard copy’ of the course modules and are required to submit assignments online.

* The last exam for the ICB Level 1 is taken online.

* External exams for levels II and III can be taken in most countries around the world.
