Learning the basics of drawing is not rocket science, and Zangmo has been helping beginners for 26 years. Believing that everyone is naturally creative, Zangmo offers patient, encouraging, inspiring Art and Photography tuition in very small friendly, informal classes and one-to-one. If you cannot commit to a regular time, One-To-One Art and Digital Photography Tuition for adults and young people over the age of 14 is offered at times to suit you, daytime, evening and weekends. You can learn at your own pace, and have a session as little or as often as you want.

Zangmo Alexander's early work included representational, figurative paintings in watercolours, gouache and oils. These became increasingly imaginative as she journeyed into exploring Art Therapy and Psychotherapy. Influenced also by Indian art, she began to create luminous, colourful abstract paintings, which some say have a strong spiritual feel.

Two approaches are offered:

1. Creative Way Art Courses, Art Workshops and Art Coaching for self expression, self discovery, relaxation, meditation and personal development. These are process oriented - it is what happens during the activity that is of interest, and the final outcome is not judged in terms of being a 'good' work of art. Prior art experience is not necessary, as the aim is to express and discover yourself rather than produce good art, and everyone is welcome.

2. Creative Way Art Courses, Art Workshops and One-to-One Art Tuition where you learn creative and technical skills, experiment with different media and develop your personal artistic interests. These are both process and goal oriented, but do not include the relaxation, meditation or self disovery elements unless students want them. This includes art courses for beginners and more experienced students - everyone is welcome!

Who are these courses suitable for?
Everyone is welcome, from complete beginner to experienced, with tuition being offered in any art medium, including pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, brush and ink, chalk pastels, oil pastels, watercolour, watercolour pencils, acrylics, oils, gouache, encaustic, mixed media, collage, digital photography and Photoshop.

But I can't draw!

How would I learn?
There is plenty of step by step art tuition, demonstrations, focused explorations, and individual guidance to nurture the development of your natural creativity and personal expression. If you are really keen, you are encouraged to get into projects and do personal explorations at home between lessons. Free, organic, tea or coffee to fuel your creativity are included!

I can't go to a regular Art Class
If you cannot commit to a regular time, One-To-One Art and Digital Photography Tuition for adults and young people over the age of 14 is offered at times to suit you, daytime, evening and weekends. You can learn at your own pace, and have a session as little or as often as you want.

Alternatively, Zangmo is developing a range of distance learning art and photography courses, so you don't even have to leave your home or workto do a creative course! With Creative Way Art and Digital Photography Courses, you can choose from offered distance and online art or photography courses, or ask Zangmo to design a distance learning and online art or photography course or lessons to meet your own specific needs, interests and aspirations.

I want to study art more seriously and get a qualification
GCSE and A Level Art or Photography tuition and courses are offered, and taught in either very small art classes of no more than 4 students, or as one-to-one art lessons. Both young people and adults are very welcome to study GCSE and A Level Art or Photography with Zangmo. This is ideal for home educators looking for Art or Photography tutoring, or adults who want to gain a nationally recognised qualification in a creative subject and increase their enjoyment, understanding, skills and grade in art or photography exams.

If you are unable to visit Norfolk, Zangmo can tailor design a Distance made Learning Art or Photography Course to meet your own individual needs and interests. Alternatively, she may be able to visit you to run an Art or Digital Photography workshop at home or in your centre either just for you, or for your group.
