Located in Bloomsbury Square, Central London, Delfin English School provides beginner to advanced level English as a Second Language (ESL) courses to international students from all over the world. We offer an extensive range of well-planned courses including General English, Exam Preparation, and Individual Classes, as well as specialised courses such as Business English.

Beginner to Advanced Level English as a Second Language (ESL) courses:

General English Courses:
The General English Courses have a strong emphasis on conversation although the competencies of reading, writing and listening are also practiced. The curriculum for all courses is well-planned and the emphasis is on making the classes as interesting as possible while improving your level of English as rapidly as possible.

Exam Preparation Courses (Cambridge & IELTS)

Preliminary English Test (PET)
Incorporating all the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, this exam prepares the learner to successfully interact in a spoken and written  form at intermediate (B1) level. As part of the Cambridge suite of exams, this exam is recognised internationally around the world.

First Certificate in English (FCE)
Pitched at an upper intermediate (B2) level, this exam tests the four skills in a manner perfect for the student who wishes to use English in a working or a study situation. As part of the Cambridge suite of exams, this exam is recognised internationally around the world.

Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)
For higher level students (C1), the CAE provides an internationally recognised exam which is valid for life. Students completing the CAE would be expected to be able to understand complex opinions and express themselves well with a good degree of fluency.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
Opening the door to both education and employment, the IELTS exam is internationally recognised and indeed is compulsory for entrance to many university courses. Available in a general and academic course, depending on the needs of the learner. Although these exams test the four basic skills, there is still an emphasis on conversation in the classes.

Business English Courses:
Our business courses are intensive one/two week courses which focus on improving your business and general English as quickly as possible. We can tailor the courses to suit your requirements as we have years of business and finance experience to make the courses as relevant and practical as possible for you. The course involves 20 hours of tuition consisting of general English group classes with a business element in the morning and 5 hours of 1-to-1 tuition in the afternoons.

Individual Classes:
Our individual course can take place at any time and includes full entitlement to our other services.
