Ruthin School, North Wales:
Located on the outskirts of Ruthin, the county town of Denbighshire in North Wales, Ruthin School is a co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 11+. We are one of the oldest public schools in the United Kingdom, and we welcome students from all over the UK as well as international students from around the world. We provide a high-quality secondary school education with GCSE and A-level exam preparation, with full boarding study options available.
Ruthin is a small enough school to allow all staff to know all the pupils, whether they teach them or not. Our staff are highly committed to the aims and ethos of the School, dedicated to developing the full potential of all. We are focused on the individual student and allowing pupils to grow in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Full boarding is also available.

We welcome international students from all over the world from the age of 11. We find that our overseas pupils settle in very well and the majority gain entry to a British University. We have accepted pupils from a wide range of countries, including Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Nepal, Columbia, Argentina, Jordan, India, and the Gambia.
Obviously, the earlier a student joins the school, their progress in acquiring English will be faster. Some students join us at age 15 or 16 and if their English is deemed to be sound they can start immediately on an A-Level programme. Other students may require a year of English and subject-specific English before embarking on an A-Level programme.
- Full boarding is available, including holidays. Pupils are accommodated in one of three boarding houses and boys and girls are accommodated separately. The accommodation in each house consists of either single or double rooms. If two pupils share a room, we try to ensure that they are from different countries. This helps their spoken English.
- Each boarding house has a resident Houseparent and an assistant Houseparent. The Houseparents take full responsibility for the pastoral care of the pupils in their house and act in loco parentis. The staff look after the pupils in the evenings, at weekends and in the half-term and Easter holidays.
- The school doctor visits weekly to hold a surgery for boarders. The school employs a full time residential qualified nurse to advise on medical issues. Wireless Internet is provided in each boarding house so that the boarders can communicate with friends and family using MSN, Facebook and Skype. The connection is monitored and closed at 11 pm.

Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College is a co-educational, residential sixth-form boarding college in Loughborough in Leicestershire, Central England. One of the top colleges in the country, Welbeck offers a two-year A-level education for students wishing to pursue an engineering based career in the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and MOD (Ministry of Defence) Civil Service. The college accommodates around 340 students on a superbly equipped, ultra-modern campus. The tuition is free, although parents may have to contribute towards living expenses. Once a student completes the course, they would then be committed to a career in the Army for a period of time.

Twyford School is a Christian, co-educational independent day and boarding school for girls and boys ages 3-13 years. We are located in Twyford Village in Hampshire on the southern coast of England, approximately 3 miles south of Winchester and 10 miles north of Southampton.
