Cherwell College Oxford:
We are a specialist GCSE and Sixth Form college based in the very heart of Oxford.

We are entirely student focused, recognising that everyone is different and there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all teaching. We treat each student as an individual with the aim that they thrive both academically and personally.

Our students enjoy one-to-one and small group tuition and full boarding in our excellent, high-spec accommodation, just ten minutes walk from the town centre and two minutes from the station.

Cherwell students go onto a host of top universities. In recent years this has included Oxford, UCL, Imperial, Kings College London and other Russell Group universities.

Expert teachers, one-to-one teaching:

Photo of Day & Residential College in Oxford, UKWithout doubt, Cherwell's strength lies in the system of tuition and the academic staff who combine academic flair with enthusiasm and creativity. Cherwell's tutors include lifelong teachers, engineers, scientists and artists, united by their passion for their field and desire to impart this passion to their students.

The personalised nature of the tuition system at Cherwell is underlined by the fact that Cherwell's students are actually outnumbered by the tutors. This is certainly rare and possibly unique among higher-education establishments, and provides an insight into the degree of specialism and depth of knowledge available to Cherwell's students.

One-to-one tuition
We are all about the individual and recognise that learning styles differ from student to student. Our unique one-to-one tutorial classes are attended daily and supported by small group seminars, lectures and mock examinations.

The tutorial system at Cherwell College, which mirrors that of leading universities, encourages students to be independent thinkers. Alongside helping our students achieve the best grades possible, this system also allows them to study at their own pace and in the style that suits them best.
