Formerly named Global Health Nurse Training Services (GHNTS), Global Health College offers various nursing programs including Associate in Applied Science in Nursing (A.A.S) / Registered Nurse (RN), Practical Nursing (PN), and Nurse Aide (CNA) programs.
Healthcare / Nursing Programs
Associate in Applied Science in Nursing (A.A.S) / Registered Nurse (RN)
We offer a full-time Associate Degree Nursing program (RN). The goal of this program is to prepare our graduates to sit for the RN NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) which leads to state licensure. Successful candidates would be eligible to apply for RN positions in a variety of settings.
Practical Nursing (LPN) Certificate Program
This program prepares students for a successful nursing career to work in clinics and hospital settings. Full-time and part-time study options are available. The full-time program is 12-13 months long and classes are held from 8am-2pm Monday-Thursday.
Practical Nursing I
Practical Nursing I, the first half of the curriculum, involves a total of 484 hours of classroom instruction, including twenty (20) hours of laboratory practicum. In addition, Practical Nursing I includes forty (40) hours of long-term care clinical experience. Classroom instruction includes: Introduction to Nursing; Structure and Function; Fundamental Skills; Nutrition; Pharmacology; Geriatrics; Nursing I.
Practical Nursing II
Practical Nursing II consists of a total of 804 hours - 420 hours of classroom instruction and 384 hours of clinical experience. The student rotates through Medical-Surgical, Maternity, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Psychiatric nursing. The clinical rotations are designed to complement the theory and instruction obtained in the classroom.
Pending Programs
Nurse Aide (CNA) Program
This program prepares students to work in an Assisted Living or Nursing Home environment. This is a 10-week program with 2 sessions per week.
Medical Assistant (MA) Program
The Medical Assistant program prepares students to work in physician’s offices and other healthcare settings. Obtain certification per module as: Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Billing and Coding Specialist, Clinical Medical Assistant or all 5 as Medical Assistant (externship requirements needed to satisfy).
