Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT):
The Dublin Institute of Technology has a long history of providing education up to the highest levels for over 100 years. The Institute currently offers an extensive range of undergraduate programmes at Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor Degree levels and Postgraduate programmes at Diploma, Master and Doctoral levels. Today DIT has an enrolment of almost 10,000 full-time third-level students pursuing eighty programmes. In total there are more than 20,000 students (including postgraduate, part-time and apprentice students) attending DIT which is the largest enrolment in a higher education institution in the Republic of Ireland. DIT is a publicly funded institution of higher education and makes its own awards at Certificate, Diploma, Degree, Masters and PhD levels. The Dublin Institute of Technology welcomes international students. The International Student Office provides information and support for all international applicants and students.

Portobello Institute, located in Dublin Ireland, is a private college offering intensive post-leaving certificate training to students of all ages. All courses have been designed to meet the demands of wide and expanding industries where employment is ensured for successful graduate.Each tutor is highly qualified and skilled at recognising individual student educational and personal requirements. The College selects only tutors who have a multitude of work experience which can be called upon by the students in the form of effective careers advice. Training standards are extremely high and each full-time student undertakes a practical work experience programme designed to give him/her an invaluable insight and experience in to their chosen sector. Successful students have the opportunity to gain a host of qualifications and are also awarded a college diploma on completion of their training that is based on continuous assessment rather than a final examination.
At the end of the course year the college hosts its annual Graduation Ceremony, at which students are presented with their Portobello Institute Certificate.

The College of Naturopathic Medicine is one of Ireland’s largest, most highly-respected and well-known natural medicine training providers, with colleges in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. Our Naturopathy Foundation Courses (Biomedicine, Naturopathy Study, and Naturopathic Practical) form the basis of our training and provide CNM students with a firm grasp of Naturopathic principles and therapies, before proceeding to specialisation in Homeopathy, Acupuncture, and/or Herbal Medicine. From a 1970s Regional Technical College to a modern-day Institute of Technology, GMIT has grown to become a centre of education competing on a national and international stage. The days of the student as a young, fresh-faced school-leaver are over. Students now come in all guises and education is no longer time- or location-dependant. The changes all point to a new emphasis on review and evaluation. Higher education institutes are being increasingly challenged to explain what they are doing, how they are doing it and how well it is being done. GMIT’s own personal story began on Monday, 18th September 1972 when the first students entered the new Regional Technical College building on Dublin Road, Galway. Enrolment on that autumn day stood at 1,213 students; registration has doubled and tripled to reach almost 9,000 students today.
