The college is very much aware of the need for complementary medicine to work alongside orthodox medicine in helping to balance the mind, body and spirit. The courses therefore will be centred around training the therapist to work in conjunction with the orthodox discipline so that merging these two we can help people to wholeness and well-being.

The courses provide a solid base for the further study of complementary therapies. We also have therapy related workshops like 'Expand your strokes' on offer to enable you to enhance your skills. The centre provides ongoing evening classes and workshops on related topics.

Students will be assessed continuously through the course both on weekly written homework, practical work and completion of folders for each subject. Students must attend the Mind Body connection weekend with Rita Kelly. Walmer college encourage all graduates to engage in continued professional development in the form of completion of additional diplomas or workshops to enhance skills and personal development.
